On Tuesday November 24, 黄色直播鈥檚 School of Nursing will launch the Centre for Transformative Nursing and Health Research (CTNHR), the first nursing-led research centre in Atlantic Canada.聽 The mission of the Centre is to undertake collaborative, interprofessional research aimed at transforming health care and improving health and well-being.
聽鈥淭his new Centre will allow the School of Nursing to build on our existing research partnerships鈥攁nd will strengthen our ability to work on larger collaborative projects,鈥 says Director Dr. Gail Tomblin Murphy.聽聽 鈥淥ur researchers are already having an impact, and the Centre will help us expand the work we are doing to improve care for patients in our province, across Canada, and internationally.鈥
The Centre for Transformative Nursing and Health Research is a 黄色直播 Senate-designated research centre.聽 It will focus on four key research areas:聽 the health needs of people; health workforce and health systems planning; marginalized populations and health equity; and knowledge translation.聽 The CTNHR will coordinate interprofessional research teams at 黄色直播 to work in partnership with other universities, the health care sector, and governments, and will position School of Nursing graduates to be leaders in health system change.
