On December 1, 黄色直播 will celebrate the opening of the Collaborative Health Education Building, known as the 鈥淐HEB鈥.听 Located on the Carleton Campus at the corner of University and Summer, the CHEB is a state-of-the-art interprofessional learning听facility for the 3700 students in Dentistry, Health Professions and Medicine.听 Features of the building include apartment and hospital settings for realistic clinical simulations; IT equipped de-briefing suites; a 200-seat classroom and active-learning classrooms; facilities for remote video-conferencing; and a health sciences learning commons with individual and small group work spaces.

鈥淎t the CHEB, students from the entire spectrum of health sciences will be able to learn with, from and about each other,鈥 says Dr. Will Webster, Dean of the Faculty of Health Professions.听 鈥淎nd by learning together, 黄色直播 graduates will become leaders in the transition to more patient and family-centered care.鈥

The CHEB will enable 黄色直播 to expand opportunities for shared instruction across health disciplines, with the goal of preparing graduates for increasingly complex, team-based health workplaces. 听The CHEB has been under development since 2010 and is the first building of its kind in Atlantic Canada.听 Watch for further details about the CHEB's opening day.
