The First-Year Student Event, held on September 22, 2015, featured the inspiring story of Scott Jones.聽 Scott was left paralyzed from the waist down after a violent attack in New Glasgow in October 2013.聽 Scott's experience has led him to start the "Don't Be Afraid" campaign, with a mission of creating a non-judgemental environment for discussing the fear associated with homophobia and transphobia.
