There are a few things you should keep in mind when you apply to a study abroad experience with Dal AC International.

1. It is best to have your passport up to date and ready to go at the time you apply. Your passport should be valid for 6 months post your trip鈥檚 return date.
2. You will need to submit your form to intdalac@dal.ca at the same time you submit your application.
3. Be sure to keep a close eye on your Dal email. We will contact you using your Dal email to let you know if you have been selected for a spot on a study abroad cohort or not and will subsequently communicate vital information to you through that email address.
4. Research your destination before you apply!聽The more you know about your destination the better prepared you can be both for your trip and for an interview. Students will be interviewed before a final cohort is selected for each trip. Be sure to read about your trip on the website to really understand what the trip is about before you apply. You can even try reaching out to the instructors listed or to the International Office to learn more.
5. Remember that your application/interview is your time to shine!聽Tell us why you would be a great addition to this cohort! Why are you passionate about this specific trip? What do you hope to learn from it? What would make you a great assett to the cohort? The more we get to know you the better!
6. Personal Information Disclaimer: In all cases, personal information is kept strictly confidential and only provided to those who require it for booking and travel support. It is important to note that there are situations outside of our control during travel where passport names may be exposed, such as at an airport, if they are calling a passenger, they will use the name on the passport. If the name on your passport is a dead name for you, please let the Global Education and Engagement Advisor know at grace.wenghofer@dal.ca, and we will do our best to include extra precautions to protect the name. Although we will do our best, we cannot 100% guarantee dead names won't be exposed during travel.
