Learning opportunities with The Health Institute

Launched earlier this month, is off to a great start – with a number of already in progress.  There are still opportunities to get involved, with the following non-credit courses currently accepting students:

  • Anatomy of the Hand and Wrist
  • Assessment of the Hand
  • Assessment of Motor and Process Skills - AMPS
  • Disability Case Management - Best Practices and Intentional Communications
  • Foundations in Clinical and Professional Education (3 modules available)
    • Module A: Introduction to Adult Education
    • Module B: Clinical Education
    • Module C: The importance of Lifelong Learning
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Sleepwell Nova Scotia

Most non-credit courses are open to faculty, students, staff and the general public, and are offered in either online or on-campus formats.

The Health Institute also includes a variety of credit courses, including the Faculty’s new certificates in and .

A number of public events will also be offered under The Health Institute, including the with Dr. Johanne Desrosiers from Universite de Sherbrooke on May 5 from 5:00 - 6:30 in Room 150 of the Collaborative Health Education Building.  Watch the website for details on an upcoming book launch of by Dr. Niki Kiepek of the School of Occupational Therapy.
