The Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) will provide you with comprehensive training in various areas such as clinical medicine, patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, pharmacology, and surgical procedures.

You will also gain practical experience through clinical rotations in various healthcare settings, including primary care, surgical services, medical services, psychiatric services, and emergency departments.

The first program of its kind in the Maritime Provinces, the MPAS will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and training required to increase access to care and make a significant contribution to health and wellbeing of Nova Scotians.Ìý

Careers

An integral part of the healthcare team, PAs work in family physicians’ offices and hospitals, providing essential support by conducting patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, assisting in procedures, and managing patient care. They can also be found in outpatient and specialty clinics, delivering primary care services, diagnosing and treating common ailments, and offering preventive healthcare.
