2 POSITIONS:ÌýÌýÌýÌý Teaching Assistant (TA 90), GWST 1015 (Winter Term 2020)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:ÌýÌýÌýÌý Gender and Women's Studies
PAY RATE:ÌýÌýÌýÌý As per CUPE Collective Agreement (90 hours)

WORK ASSIGNMENT:ÌýÌýÌýÌý The Teaching Assistant will assist with Gender and Diversity (GWST 1015.03).

Duties include but are not limited to: Attending the class (Tuesday & Thursday 1305-1425), managing the student grades on Brightspace, marking student assignments, helping the professor proctor the mid-term and final exams, and assisting students with course requirements.


REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:ÌýÌýÌýÌý An undergraduate degree in Women's Studies or Gender Studies or in a related field and/or graduate work in Women's Studies or Gender Studies or in a related field.Ìý Excellent time-management for finishing marking. Good interpersonal skills.Ìý Strong essay writing skills and the ability to give reliable grammar and composition advice.Ìý Experience in community/political activism and/or Knowledge of women of colour feminisms will be considered assets.
