黄色直播 SEASIDE

The SEASIDE summer program is a great way to spend part of your summer in the field, learning practical skills and applying the theorical knowledge you have learned in the classroom. You'll gain ecologically-relevant training in field, lab, and other practical scientific techniques. These courses are intense, and require a student's complete attention for the duration of the course.听

Please be aware that although SEASIDE courses are incredibly valuable and rewarding, they are also not 鈥渢ypical鈥 academic courses (e.g., long days in any/all environmental conditions, long travel, overnight trips, short timeframe for evaluation, mentally and physically demanding).

If you require academic AND/OR student-life accommodations, you must arrange those well ahead of your course start time. If you are unsure if you may require additional support and resources to succeed in a course, please connect with Accommodations

Please reach out to the Director, Jen (jfrail@dal.ca) if you have any questions about specific courses.

听. See Courses for links to course syllabi and instructor contact information.

PLEASE NOTE:听You must apply online and be accepted into a class. Once accepted, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in each class, before you will receive permission to register. Especially for high-demand courses, your GPA (>3.0), earned credit hours, being in the co-op program, and your major may play a role in being accepted into a course.

Applications open January 27. 2025. All courses are restricted from registration until you are granted permission. If you wish to be considered for the initial acceptances, apply before February 14, 2025. SEASIDE applications remain open throughout the entire winter and summer semesters, and waitlists move rapidly, so please apply any time after this date to get your name on the list for a course.

See How to Register听for more details. All in-person classes carry an auxiliary fee in addition to regular tuition, to cover field-related expenses such as transportation and field site accommodations.

Auxiliary fees listed in the list of classes for 2025 are tentative and subject to approval by the university in May 2025.

International Courses will be offered in 2025
