FHP Achievements ‑ February 2015

  • Congratulations to Dr. Janet Curran (Nursing) who recently received the Terry Klassen Young Investigator Award from Pediatric Emergency Research Canada (PERC).  This award is given annualy at the PERC meeting to an investigator in the first seven years of their academic career who demonstrates excellence in clinical research, serves as a role model for other junior investigators and who embodies the spirit of interpersonal and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Congratulations to Dr. Marsha Campbell-Yeo (Nursing) who won first place in the inaugural CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH) Talks Video Competition for   The first place prize is $5,000.
  • Congratulations to Kelly Lackie and Annette Elliot Rose, PhD candidates in the School of Nursing, who have been selected to participate in the Rising Stars of Scholarship and Research Poster Program at Sigma Theta Tau International's (STTI) 43rd Biennial Convention in Las Vegas in November 2015.  Annette has also been accepted into the Rising Stars of Scholarship and Research Poster Program at STTI's 26th Annual Nursing Research Congress in San Juan Puerto Rico in July 2015.
