Biological Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc and Ph.D
Research areas include biological waste management (disposal and reuse), biorobotics, agricultural engineering (drainage, soil erosion, farm machinery), aquacultural engineering, food processing engineering, renewable energy (solar and biomass), energy conservation in greenhouses, and pollution control (non-point source, wetlands).  Biological Engineering is part of the Process Engineering and Applied Science Department.

Biomedical Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc and Ph.D
Biomedical engineering research at 黄色直播 covers a broad range of topics. Researchers within the school are working on advancing new technologies that increase the diagnostic information available to clinicians, treating medical disorders with implanted devices and novel biomaterials, and improving our understanding of the structural and functional properties of tissues and cells.

Chemical Engineering

Eng., M.A.Sc. and Ph.D
This graduate program focuses on chemical process principles applied to environmental and energy resources. Topics include environmental considerations of combustion technology, fuel preparation, control of explosion hazards, development of innovative process control algorithms and treatment of industrial waste. Fundamental studies are done in mass transfer and rheology, Membrane Separation, Flotation, Coagulation, Gas-liquid System, Emulsification. Chemical Engineering is part of the Process Engineering and Applied Science Department.

Engineering Mathematics

M.Sc. and Ph.D
This interdisciplinary program is offered between Engineering and Applied Mathematics, enabling mathematics and physics majors to carry out theoretical and numerical analysis of applied problems and engineering students to prepare mathematical models of engineering problems.

Environmental Engineering

M.Eng. and M.A.Sc.
Environmental Engineering is an innovative cross-disciplinary program with aspects offered through seven engineering departments (Biological, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, Industrial, Mechanical, Mineral Resource and Metallurgical), the School of Resource and Environmental Studies and the Faculty of Law at 黄色直播. Topics of study or research in this area include energy, soil and water quality, waste management, pollution control, treatment, remediation, reclamation and environmental assessment. .

Food Science and Technology

M.Sc. and PhD.
Research opportunities include a wide range of topics in food processing, food chemistry, food rheology, microstructure, food engineering and fats and oils. Special emphasis is placed on seafood preservation, storage and handling. Food Science & Technology Engineering is part of the Process Engineering and Applied Science Department.

Industrial Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc. and PhD.
Key areas of research interest in the Department are operations research modeling, mathematical optimization, production planning and control, modeling of economic systems, queueing theory, vehicle and crew scheduling, industrial ergonomics and work place design. Applications are primarily selected in the resource base industries of forestry, fishing and mining as well as the smaller sized local business.

Internetworking

M.Eng.
Internetworking is a full fee program which has been designed in consultation with industry leaders to ensure that the graduates will have the core knowledge base for a rewarding career in the internetworking industry. It is a truly multidisciplinary area, which requires knowledge of, and skills in, the related areas of engineering, communications, mathematics and modeling, computer and network architectures, and computer software. Our laboratories are unique and among the most advanced internetworking laboratories available anywhere for a Master level degree.

Materials Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc. and PhD.
Areas of study include; the chemical, physical and mechanical processing of metals, ceramics and materials; corrosion in marine and high temperature environments, mineral beneficiation, high temperature electrochemical processing and growth of opto-electronic materials. Materials Engineering is part of the Department of Civil and Resource Engineering. .

Mechanical Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc. and PhD.
Research interests include fluid power systems, energy conversion systems, fluidized bed combustion, computational fluid dynamics, vibration, CAD/CAM, CAE, biomedical engineering, finite-element techniques, machine and rotor dynamics, machine design, robotics, solar energy systems, ship and marine hydrodynamics, composites, energy management, turbulence modeling, two-phase flow.

Mineral Resource Engineering

M.Eng., M.A.Sc. and PhD.
Research opportunities include the areas of geostatics, mine mechanization, coal mine support, computer applications in mining, mine waste management, ocean mining, mineral beneficiation, solid/liquid separation, mineral economics, reservoir engineering, horizontal drilling, petroleum drilling fluids, and oil shale studies. Mining Engineering is part of the Department of Civil and Resource Engineering.
