Ella Hunter is entering her third year of the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health program at St. Francis Xavier University. Along with working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Christina Holmes, Ella works at a daycare and volunteers for a local all girls baseball program. Her passion and experience working with kids has led her to an interest in studying a multitude of aspects of childhood. Ella hopes to continue her studies at St. Francis Xavier after she finishes the health program by pursuing her Bachelor of Education using her knowledge from the health program to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters positive experiences for all.
Joshua Langston is a second-year law student at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s Schulich School of Law.Ìý Prior to studying law, Joshua completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥, with honors in Law Justice in Society and minors in History and Chinese Studies.Ìý His undergraduate honors thesis explored the intersection of public health and racial inequalities in Nova Scotia, examining the role the provincial government played in the neglect of Halifax’s Africville community. Ìý Through work and education, Joshua has taken an interest in social justice and human rights and environmental issues. He intends to work in these areas upon completion of his Juris Doctor.
