The Organization Today
In October 1985, the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame was incorporated under the Nova Scotia Societies Act. The original聽Memorandum of Association听补苍诲听By-Laws are available.聽The objectives of the Society are:聽
- To accord recognition to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to Atlantic Agriculture.
- To prescribe standards of selection, provide suitable display facilities and provide appropriate ceremonies for induction and presentation.聽
- To do other things conducive to the attainment of the above objective.
A Board of Directors consisting of two representatives from each Atlantic Province administers the affairs of the Hall of Fame. The annual meeting is held in October at the time of the induction ceremony.聽Minutes聽of the Directors' and Annual meetings (starting in 1999),聽annual reports and financial statements聽are posted on this site for the information of all.
