General Information
Speak Up!
As a student, you have theÌýpower, and the responsibility to provide feedback to instructors and administrators. By completing your Student Learning Experience Questionnaires, or SLEQ, you can help improve courses and teaching at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥. Your confidential feedback is important to the university, to the value of your degree, and to the learning experiences of future students.
Your SLEQ responses are completelyÌýconfidential. The results become available to instructors and academic unit heads only after the final grades submission date has passed for the term.
Why should I complete my SLEQ? Do they actually make a difference?
Yes! Your voice matters.
Your feedback is used by »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ to:
- Help instructors improve their teaching via constructive criticism.
- Assist some of your TAs, for whom you may have the opportunity to provide feedback, to improve their teaching as they begin their careers.
- Act as reference for the promotion and tenure of instructors and staff – Your feedback is placed in an instructor’s file and used when it is time to apply for promotions.
- Provide evidence of teaching accomplishmentsÌýfor Teaching Awards to TAs and to instructors that the university offers.
- Develop better, perhaps new, educational programs and courses throughout the university.
