Beatrice Harris (BSW'13, MSW'22) has always taken immense pride in her heritage as a member of the esteemed Blackfoot First Nation. In 2013, Beatrice proudly achieved a significant milestone by earning a bachelor's degree in social work followed by a master's degree in social work also from 黄色直播 in 2022.
Since attaining her Master of Social Work degree, Beatrice has been contributing to her field in a meaningful way. She is currently serving as an instructor in the social service program at Northern Lights College. In this role, she has the privilege of imparting knowledge and guidance to the next generation of human service professionals, empowering them to make a positive impact their communities.
Furthermore, her commitment to advancing the field of social work extends beyond the classroom. Beatrice recently completed a research project that focused on the application of an anti-colonial education perspective to the social service program. This project allowed her to delve into the important intersection between education, culture, and social justice, and she is excited about the potential for positive change that it represents.
Beatrice states, "I owe a debt of gratitude to 黄色直播, where I gained not only knowledge but also the inspiration and motivation to pursue my passion for social work. The experiences and education I received at 黄色直播 have been invaluable in shaping my journey thus far, and I look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in the world of social work."
