Fish-WIKS Principal Investigator,聽Dr. Lucia Fanning, will present, 鈥淯nderstanding western and Indigenous knowledge systems to enhance fisheries governance in Canada鈥, at the international聽聽in Hiroshima, Japan in July 2017. 聽Using Canadian case studies, the paper examines the extend to which western and Indigenous knowledge systems influence fisheries governance and how distinct Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) can improve current efforts.
