Grant Curtis is a second year PhD student in the Political Science Department and the Deputy-Director of the Centre for the Study of Security and Development at 黄色直播. Prior to his retirement, Grant鈥檚 career focused on international development, with field-based assignments in a number of countries in Africa and Asia with United Nations system agencies, bilaterals, international NGOs, and the Asian Development Bank. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Saskatchewan; an M.A. in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University; an M.P.A. from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; an M.A. in English from 黄色直播; and an M.F.A. in Creative Non-Fiction from the University of King鈥檚 College, Halifax.

Research Interests

Development Studies with focus on the security-development nexus, fragile/failed states, peace-building, post-conflict emergency rehabilitation and reconstruction, and emergent civil society.
