罢丑别听Department of Medical Neuroscience聽in the聽Faculty of Medicine听补迟听黄色直播聽invites applications to fill a career stream聽Anatomy Instructor聽position at the Halifax campus.
Primary responsibilities will include supporting the MSc Physician Assistant program in the Faculty of Medicine through teaching anatomy lectures and laboratory sessions, and through course administration duties. The Anatomy Instructor will also be required to support teaching activities in the Department by contributing to the delivery of 1) anatomy components of the Medical and Dentistry curriculum (involving lectures and laboratory sessions in gross anatomy, neuroanatomy and histology), and 2) anatomy laboratory sessions for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy students.
The successful candidate will work closely with, and be supported by, other anatomy faculty in the Department of Medical Neuroscience. As a member of the Department the Anatomy Instructor may be assigned additional responsibilities by the Department Head.
The candidate must hold an MSc or PhD in anatomy or closely related field, or an MD, with a strong background in anatomical sciences. The successful candidate must demonstrate academic competence in human gross anatomy. Experience teaching neuroanatomy, as well as experience with the proper care and use of human cadaveric material, will be considered an asset.
A commitment to excellence in teaching is required as this is the primary responsibility of the position. The Anatomy Instructor can expect a teaching load of 180-200 contact hours (lectures and laboratories) per academic year.
