TERM 2023 Summer Term (June 2 - July 3, 2023)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Fountain School of Performing Arts – Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Teaching Assistant work assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Attending lectures and events and assisting with lecture management (playing audio and video examples from recordings, DVDs and online sources).
- Reading and marking papers and exams in consultation with the course instructors, as assigned.
- Assisting Instructors to supervise and provide support for the students enrolled in the course.Ìý
- Providing initial crisis response, offering on-call support to students as needed, and liaising with the accommodations staff to ensure students are following regulations.
- Assisting with class administration as agreed with the instructors.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants should have an undergraduate degree of at least three year’s standing. They should possess excellent leadership, communication, and listening skills, and be able to work independently. Experience in leadership positions and in providing peer support is highly desirable: applicants with Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (A.S.I.S.T.) and Mental Health First Aid will be given priority. Travel experience and Czech language skills would be assets.
