The University of King's College invites applications for the position of Writing Coach in the Foundation Year Program. This is an eight-month appointment, with the possibility of re-appointment, commencing September 1, 2021 and ending April 30, 2022.
Duties include offering one-on-one writing support to first year students, both in person and online, organizing and conducting workshops on writing, and developing writing resources.
The Writing Coach will provide feedback and advice to students and will meet with students by appointment and during regular drop-in hours for approximately 25 hours/week.
All candidates will have a university degree or equivalent in some area of the humanities or social sciences as a minimum. Familiarity with online tools, such as learning management software (e.g., Brightspace) and videoconferencing platforms, is desirable.
Closing Date: April 30 2021
Salary: $23.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
