OCCU 5011.05 Enabling I: Mental Health

Work Assignment: The co-instructor will be responsible for co-delivery of OCCU 5011.05 Enabling Occupation I: Mental Health, in the School’s entry to practice MSc(OT) program. The instructor must have practice knowledge in the areas of mental health and addictions with adults, older adults, children and/or youth. The instructor would be responsible for working with the instructor of record, lab coordinator, and tutors on all aspects of teaching and administration of the class, including course preparation for lectures, labs, test preparation, integration activities and evaluation of students. In addition, the instructor should be available for consultation with students.
Requirements of position: excellent communication and organizational skills and scheduling flexibility. Must hold an entry-to-practice qualification in occupational therapy. A Master’s degree is preferred. Teaching and/or student fieldwork supervision experience is preferred. Eligible for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia required.
