Teaching Assistant ‑ Department of French

1 POSITION:     Teaching Assistant (TA 130), FREN 1200   (Fall Term 2018)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:     French

PAY RATE:     As per CUPE Collective Agreement (130 hours)

WORK ASSIGNMENT:     The Teaching Assistant will assist with France, Canada and the Francophone World: Perspectives of Culture and Identity II (FREN 1200). The course is offered in English and is a writing class.

Duties include but are not limited to: Attending Friday classes (11:35-12:25), marking student assignments, and assisting students with course requirements.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:     An undergraduate degree in a literary or humanities field.  Good interpersonal skills.  Strong essay writing skills and the ability to give reliable grammar and composition advice.  Reading ability or fluency in French an asset but not essential.
