PAY RATE:Ìý As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:ÌýÌý INTD 3003.03 – Development Activism. The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading, and administration of the class, including the required Tutorials. In addition, the part time academic is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation.Ìý This class will be offered in the period of 7 January – 8 April, 2018. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the IDS Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. in International Development Studies or closely related field.Ìý Research and practical experience in lawful activism related to international development is required as this course is designed to be practice-focused. Sound knowledge of the legality of peaceful assembly, lawful demonstrations, and international solidarity are essential. Previous university teaching experience is required. Experience working with activist organizations is considered an asset.
