6th Biennial Threshold Concepts Conference

The 6th Biennial Thresholds Concepts Conference (#Thresholds2016) is being held at 黄色直播 from June 15th to 17th. The threshold concepts framework has become a major feature within the higher education teaching and learning literature over the past decade and longer. If you are unaware of the thresholds literature, more information about threshold concepts is available at: .

We are very excited to let everyone know that the conference program is available online: . The conference will feature to have Linda Adler-Kassner (University of California, Santa Barbara) and Elizabeth Wardle (Miami University, Ohio) giving an opening plenary titled "Naming What We Know (in Writing Studies): Engaging Troublesome Trends in Educational Policy and Practice.鈥 We also have Ray Land (Durham University) giving our closing keynote address, titled "Learning on a Heroic Scale: Threshold Concepts, Hollywood, and the Greatest Story Ever Told.鈥

Free Pre-Conference Workshop
"Introducing Threshold Concepts: Student Uncertainty and the Process of Learning, Teaching and Assessment"
We are pleased to announce that we will host a free pre-conference workshop on June 15th from 1pm to 4pm, which will focus on introducing threshold concepts to those individuals in the region who would like to learn more about threshold concepts (especially for those attending the conference on the subsequent days). Registration in the full conference is not required to attend the pre-conference workshop.聽
