Instructor Position
The School of Nursing, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥, is seeking an outstanding educator for one, full-time, three-year, limited term position as an Instructor in the Clinical Learning & Simulation Centre. The appointment will be effective July 1, 2016. The position is subject to final budgetary approval. Â
A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, and candidates should also possess a Master of Nursing or a Masters in a related field (or an equivalent combination of training and experience). Recent clinical and teaching experience with a minimum of two years clinical experience and two years clinical practice teaching are required. The ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner and as a team member; organizational abilities, proficiency using office software applications is essential. Experience with or education in clinical simulation is an asset. Eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia is a requirement.
The Clinical Instructor is responsible for demonstrating skills, including health assessment to students with faculty consultation; assembling Clinical Learning & Simulation Centre equipment and material for student practice and testing environments; assisting faculty with practice exams; acting as a resource person for independent student practice; and utilizing computer-based methods of organizing and running Clinical Learning & Simulation Centre systems. Responsibilities are for the Clinical Learning & Simulation Centre systems located in the Bethune Building, School of Nursing, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥.
