Doors Open revisits 黄色直播

A proud member of the Halifax community, we鈥檙e once again pleased to participate in聽.

翱苍听June 6 and 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 黄色直播鈥檚 Steele Ocean Sciences Building welcomes visitors of all ages to explore what happens in a world-class research university.

You鈥檒l get an inside look of the Aquatron research lab, which uses seawater pumped from the Northwest Arm. You鈥檒l also have an opportunity to get your hands wet in marine life touch tanks and ask talented science students and top researchers your questions about the world鈥檚 oceans. Our family-focused activities during Doors Open Halifax will include a few surprises for the kids鈥攁ll in support of oceans education.

A LEED Silver candidate for environmental design, the building includes an electric car charging station, permeable pavement for stormwater control, passive lighting design, cycling support facilities, and other green features. The four-storey, 68,000-square-foot complex was designed by DRKR Architects Ltd.

With World Oceans Day (June 8, 2015) just around the corner, we hope you鈥檒l include the Steele Ocean Science Building while exploring during Doors Open Halifax.

Parking

Non-reserved parking spots in Dal-owned lots are free on weekends. Park in one of several lots near to the Steele Ocean Sciences Building (see campus maps) and map your Doors Open Halifax route from there.
