PUAD 6855 InternshipÂ
The internship is a half credit course which includes a program of professional development, a challenging work term with a public sector employer and the mentorship of first year MPA candidates (in the terms following the work term). The Sessional Instructor will be responsible for this half credit course with the School of Public Administration. The Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and administration of the class. The instructor should be available during the day and early evening for workshops/classes and student and employer consultations. The candidate reports to the Director of the School.Â
Requirement of Position:Â
A Masters Degree or professional designation in a related field and recent or current experience at the executive level within government departments is required with experience in professional development, coaching, networking and university-government relations. Previous university-level teaching at the Master’s level is required as is demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the Master’s level. Knowledge of the federal and provincial coop programs.Â
