DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY


Applications are invited for a limited term Instructor appointment in the Department of Biology at 黄色直播. This appointment will be for ten months per academic year beginning August 1, 2014 and ending May 31, 2016.

The Instructor will be responsible for overseeing the laboratory and tutorial portion of Biology 2030, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and will be required to deliver lectures in the winter term of the first year of appointment. The position involves developing, co-ordinating and troubleshooting the laboratory. Other duties will include; supervision of lab set-up and general preparation; marking and recording; supervision of teaching assistants, and communicating with students and other faculty.

Other duties will include advising undergraduate students and serving on department administrative committees as required.

Candidates should have an advanced degree in biology, preferably a Ph.D., and previous teaching experience. Candidates must also have demonstrated teaching ability, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a team member.

Salary will be according to qualifications and experience, as determined by the Collective Agreement between The Board of Governors of 黄色直播 and the 黄色直播 Faculty Association.
