Instructor in Costume Studies (I)

The Fountain School of Performing Arts at 黄色直播 invites applications for one (1) full-time, two-year, limited-term Appointment in Costume Studies, at the rank of Instructor, commencing July 1, 2014.

The successful candidate will teach the following areas: historical and modern tailoring; historical and modern pattern design, cutting, and costume construction for Fountain School of Performing Arts main stage productions; and dancewear. There may be other related areas of teaching responsibility allocated from time to time, depending upon specific requirements in any given year.

The successful candidate will also carry out necessary administration for the Costume Studies Programme.

黄色直播 Costume Studies Programme is unique in North America and offers a four-year Honours BA in Theatre (Costume Studies). The Programme has a strong historical focus on both theatre and museum work, stressing both applied skills, and research and academic development.

Qualifications expected are a university degree, several years experience as a professional tailor, and appropriate professional theatre wardrobe experience. Teaching experience at a post-secondary level considered an asset. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
