POSITION:聽 Part-time Academic (one term, Winter Term, 2014)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:聽 School of Dental Hygiene, Faculty of Dentistry

PAY RATE:聽 As per CUPE Collective Agreement OR per DFA Collective Agreement for Overload Teaching.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:聽 The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching the course DEHY 4006 Health Policy in the second term of the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene degree completion program, January to April, 2014. The course is grounded in Canadian policy with a focus on oral health policy. The instructor will be responsible for all aspects of the course: teaching the class, evaluating the assignments, and being available two hours per week for office hours.聽 The class is currently scheduled for Thursdays, 9 am to 12 noon. The instructor will report to the Director of the School of Dental Hygiene. A syllabus has been prepared and used in this course.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:聽 The successful candidate will have a master鈥檚 degree in a related health or policy field, with experience teaching at the undergraduate level in the field of policy or health policy.聽 A PhD or candidacy standing is preferred and will be an asset.
