Learn to Walk or Run 5K

The Dalplex 5km Walk /5km Walk-to-Run program is an 12-week program designed to get participants working at their own level with a 5km goal in mind.

The Walk program is a 'couch to 5km' walk program meant to help beginners learn to walk for fitness benefits several times a week on their lunch hours, after work, and/or on weekends with a goal of completing a 5km distance at the end of 12 weeks.

The Walk-to-Run program is perfect for those who are close to or already able to walk 5km but would like to take it to the next level by incorporating small running intervals, with a goal of completing a 5km run at the end.

Cost to enroll in the program is $25 for Dal employees, participants can register at Dalplex, by calling 494-3372 or online at http://ow.ly/l1B2J.

We are also hosting an information session today at 12pm at Dalplex (there is no fee to attend the information session).
