Neurological disorders such as stroke, Parkinson's disease and even neurological changes underlying normal aging are commonly associated with cognitive impairments in attention, memory and thinking. Such cognitive changes are difficult to treat and can significantly impact an individual鈥檚 quality of life; reducing personal independence, family resources and ultimately the social and economic health of Canada. To combat this challenge, the Cognitive Health and Recovery Research Laboratory has begun to develop innovative computerized interventions for cognitive rehabilitation. But we need your help. By identifying what leisure activities adults enjoy, our research team at the Brain Repair Centre can appropriately design a fun and engaging game-like therapy that will encourage and motivate patient rehabilitation.
How can you help? By taking 30 minutes out of your day and visiting , you could indirectly improve the quality of life of patients around the world! In addition, you will become eligible to win one of three $200.00 cash prizes! Anyone 19 years and older is welcome to participate.
