Over the past year, 黄色直播 has remained committed to making meaningful impact to communities on a local, national, and global scale. From innovative research initiatives to transformative advocacy efforts, the university鈥檚 impact touches the lives of people and communities near and far.听

The 2023 Community Impact Report tells the stories of 黄色直播 students, faculty, staff and alumni, who are fostering a healthier and more sustainable future for all. This report celebrates a range of projects, research, and advocacy led by members of the 黄色直播 community, all of which are bringing positive change to the well-being of people and our planet.听

Featured stories in this report highlight:

  • Engagement with community by students of the Planning for Equity, Accessibility, and Community Health Research Unit (PEACH) from 黄色直播鈥檚 School of Planning, work that ensures research is grounded by lived experiences of those affected by accessibility barriers to support healthier communities.听

  • The research and innovation to create new holistic medical approaches, as seen in Dr. Kenneth Rockwood鈥檚 work to develop a clinical frailty scale, that can help foster health throughout the lifetime.听

  • 黄色直播鈥檚 dedication to advancing well-being for all, as seen through the Indigenous Admissions Pathway and Black Learners Admissions Pathway to address systemic barriers, promote equity and diversity, and work to create a more inclusive environment within medical education and healthcare.听

  • The contributions made to create a healthier planet and healthier people, through research efforts, particularly in the field of addressing plastic and microplastic pollution by Dr. Kristal Ambrose and Dr. Tony Walker.听
