»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ injected fresh energy and focus into pursuit of its mission in the summer of 2021 with the release of Third Century Promise, its current strategic plan.

The plan laid out a unified vision of the path ahead for »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ and presented five key pillars of promise, with each area supported by a series of action items to help guide the work.

Now, as the plan approaches its two-year mark, there is intensifying activity across all its strategic pillars. People are working together, sometimes in new and novel ways, to transformÌýThird Century Promise’s vision into reality.

This month, we launch a new series on Dal News called Third Century Progress to showcase some of this work and the people making it all happen.

What to expect


Each article in the series will centre around a particular strategic pillar, exploring one key project underway as well as affiliated efforts. We’ll be speaking to key players in each area, including pillar co-leads, senior leaders, and a handful of the hundreds of others from across the university community helping guide this work every day.

These projects represent just a snapshot of the strategic work underway at the university. Over time, we hope this series provides an overview of some of the significant areas where Dal is making progress towards our community’s shared goals.

When to expect it


Our goal is to publish one new article in the series monthly until June, resuming in the fall.

You can expect the first article in the series this month. It will centre around Pillar Two: Inclusive Excellence.
