黄色直播鈥檚 annual already promises to be a fun weekend 鈥 but if you鈥檙e up for putting your feet to work, and taking on a challenge, it will be especially entertaining.

The , organized by the 黄色直播 Alumni Association, is a free three-campus run, walk, jog or stroll that gets underway at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 17. Last year鈥檚 inaugural run brought together the whole 黄色直播 community and they came in the hundreds with Tiger spirit to spare, complete with signs, colorful costumes and聽 musical instruments.

This year, the Alumni Office and Dal President Richard Florizone have issued a challenge to all faculties and organized groups on campus to lace up their sneakers and compete for a group prize. The group with the most participants in attendance at the fun run will win a $500 cash prize to be put toward a post-Homecoming event. There will also be runner-up prizes for the teams with the second- and third-largest turnout.

As well as the cash awards, there will be other prizes, a post-run snack, music and more. The cash prizes can be used to host a faculty/group pizza party, support for a student society or another celebration of the winning group's choice.

鈥淚 encourage all Dalhousians 鈥 alumni, faculty, family and friends 鈥 to join me and my family and show some tiger pride at this flagship event,鈥 said President Florizone. "Let鈥檚 get as many people as we can to take up the challenge and generate some funding for our student societies. I promise you it will be a blast.鈥

For those in Truro, "Rocky's Run" 鈥 a 5K named after the Ag Campus' beloved mascot 鈥 also takes place as part of Homecoming on Saturday, October 17, starting at 10 a.m. at the Langille Athletic Centre.
