Subway AUS Championship @ UPEI
At the Subway AUS championship held at UPEI last week, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ swimmers won first place in events. The Tigers claimed the men’s and women’s team titles and earned first place in the combined team score.This is the men’s 15th consecutive and the women’s 12th consecutive AUS title. Stand-out first place performances by David Sharpe (100m backstroke and 200m butterfly), Molly Wedge (100m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 50m freestyle), and Rachel Shin (200m individual medley and 200m butterfly) pushed the Tigers ahead. Kit Moran was named the male recipient of the AUS student-athlete community service award, while Dal swimmers Kyle Watson and Katie Webster were named Swimmers of the Meet, and James Profit was named the Male Rookie of the Meet. Profit won first place in the 400m individual medley and 400m freestyle, second place in the 200m butterfly, and third place in the 200m individual medley. Next up for the Tigers is the CIS Championship in Calgary, Alta. from February 21-24.

In the Tigers last two games of the season, Dal was looking to extend their winning streak and end on a high note going into the Subway AUS Championship as the first place team. Starting off Thursday night against AUS third-place Moncton, the black and gold were ready for a tough game. Winning in three straight sets, Dal made it look easy with Tara Gowan dominating the court with 14 kills and Louise Facca hitting up 13 digs. Back in action on Sunday afternoon, the Tigers final regular season game was against AUS second-place, Saint Mary’s. Claiming the victory in three sets, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ ended the regular season off with a 14-game winning streak! Way to go Tigers!
Men’s Volleyball

On Friday night, the Tigers hosted Memorial in their last game of the regular season. Currently in second place, Dal needed to claim the four-point win in order to take first place in the regular season standings. With Bryan Duquette hitting 11 kills and Carsten Moeller cleaning up seven digs, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ beat the Sea-Hawks in three straight sets and earned the first place spot.
Men’s Hockey

»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ ended their 2012-13 season Friday night at Acadia. The Tigers came out fierce, quickly earning a two goal lead, but the Axemen responded, taking the lead by the start of the second period. A fierce battle ensued, but the Axemen had the upper hand and won 8-5.
Women’s Basketball
SMU 88 @ DAL 63
Last Wednesday night the Tigers hosted cross town rival, Saint Mary’s, for the last time this season. The Huskies came out strong, but Dal stepped up and accepted the challenge. Unfortunately the black and gold’s defense faltered under Saint Mary’s unrelenting attack throughout the second and third quarters, allowing SMU to extend their lead. Robbi Daley led her team with 14 points, but the Tigers efforts were not enough to close the gap, and the game ended a Dal loss of 88-63.

In last Wednesday's battle versus Saint Mary’s, the Huskies attacked quickly, gaining an early lead over the Tigers, but Dal stood their ground, determined to win on their home court. Taking the lead by the end of the second quarter, the black and gold controlled the second half of the game. With an outstanding 17-point effort by Jumol Mullings, the Tigers claimed an 82-65 victory.
