鈥淭his contest is really about identifying 鈥榙isruptive innovations鈥: those innovations that change the frames of reference, that shift thinking in how programs are run,鈥 said Mr. Comber. 鈥淭he fact that our Corporate Residency program is direct entry鈥攚hich is not the norm鈥攁nd builds leadership with the Personal and Professional Effectiveness curriculum gives us a unique approach.鈥
The Corporate Residency program, which was introduced three years ago, is also the only MBA program in Canada with an eight-month paid internship, which begins in the January after students start the program. The program鈥檚 support for direct entry鈥攏ot the norm at most schools鈥攁nd its Personal and Professional Effectiveness curriculum add to its innovative approach.
鈥淲ith older generations starting to move on from the workforce, there鈥檚 a need for younger employees to have the skills to quickly move through the ranks and take on leadership roles,鈥 adds Mr. Comber. 鈥淲e鈥檙e really focused on helping high-caliber students to go further, faster.鈥
