黄色直播 Libraries have signed on to Borrow Anywhere, Return Anywhere鈥攁n innovative, province-wide program that will make borrowing a book even easier and more convenient.
The new service allows gives 黄色直播 students, staff and faculty members access to more than 100 libraries throughout the province.
Developed by Libraries Nova Scotia, a collaboration of all public, college and university libraries in the province, the program creates seamless, barrier-free library access.
鈥淟et鈥檚 say you鈥檙e in Cape Breton on holiday. You end up at the closest library to borrow a book, a book which you can return here once you鈥檙e back on campus,鈥 explains Sandy Dwyer, head of circulation at the Killam Library. 鈥淲e really believe it is worth the extra effort and the cost that might be involved if it gets more people reading.鈥
The 黄色直播 Libraries are already members of Novanet, a consortium of Nova Scotia university and college libraries. Borrow Anywhere, Return Anywhere opens up access to public libraries too.
To borrow books鈥攏ot to mention CDs, DVDs, books on tape, magazines and more鈥攕imply bring identification or a public library card to get a free membership at any participating library. To return borrowed items, drop them off at the nearest library.
