To raise money for this project, the team sold tickets on a gift basket valued at more than $1500 and ran a number of promotions throughout the evening. 黄色直播鈥檚 Department of Athletics and Recreational Services also donated the profits from the game鈥檚 gate and the team received support from a variety of individuals and organizations.

Shoot for the Cure is a national initiative by Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Women鈥檚 Basketball Coaches Association to raise money and awareness in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF).

In its second season, the program has CIS women鈥檚 basketball teams 鈥渢hinking pink鈥 at regular season games, exhibition matches and tournaments. Last year, the league raised more than $50,000 and this year aims to double that figure.
