Write Here in Plain Sight (WHIPS) is described as "a bold adventure in teaching." The project is based on the premise that learning how to write an academic paper can be significantly enhanced by observing expert behaviour.

WHIPS takes place Saturday, Jan. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. at the K.C. Rowe Management Building, 6100 University Ave. Every word, every typo, every moment of the writing process will be projected on large screens in six different rooms.

"We often learn best by watching those who have good skills," says Sunny Marche, who'll be one of the writers wielding his pen at the Saturday event. "But while that's the case for skiing and riding a bicycle and many other human behaviors, I personally have never seen anything write and it occurred to me that our students would actually find it interesting."
