Pay Rate:Â In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
Work Assignment: INFO 6300 – Government Information Resources
The sessional instructor will significantly refresh and update the curriculum and teach this elective course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2018 Summer term, as an online course.
Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience as a Government Librarian or Information Manager within the Government. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.
The instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. Additionally, updates and revisions to the syllabus, in consultation with the Director will be required. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.
