We're thrilled to announce that Ian Wilenius and Lisa Delaney won the McKelvey Cup Moot in Moncton last weekend, winning the individual award for best cross examination (Lisa), best opening (Lisa), best closing (Ian), and best overall advocate (Lisa). This is the Atlantic Regional Competition for the Sopinka Cup to select the team to go to Ottawa for the trial moot competition.
Ian and Lisa will represent us at the Sopinka Cup in Ottawa in March. No law school has won the competition more often than »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥. The competition requires students to do a direct examination, a cross examination, and a jury address.
The Schulich School of Law is only allowed to send one team to Ottawa, which is a shame because Mary Rolf and Jenn Power were outstanding in Moncton. We're lucky to have such amazing students at Schulich! A big debt of gratitude goes to coaches Michael ScottÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýJeremy Smith.Ìý
