Congratulations goes out to Professor Shauna Houk who is the recipient of a CNSA Honorary Contribution Award.聽 This award is聽granted to those individuals who have greatly contributed to the achievements and aims of CNSA (Canadian Nursing Students Association), without ever being a member of the association.聽 Professor Houk was nominated by several 黄色直播 undergraduate nursing students at the recent CNSA National Conference, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in January.
Here are some excerpts from the nomination:
Shauna is truly an inspiration to all nursing students at 黄色直播 and has been a key force in ensuring the success of our chapter.
She is an advocate for students, continually bringing forward concerns to the School of Nursing on behalf of students. She attends nearly every student function and is truly excited to support the leadership potential of her students.
She ensures students are able to attend important professional development opportunities and makes it her mission to make such events accessible to people with low income and who would otherwise be unable to attend. She also is an advocate for students who are parents, helping them find resources for child care and making events more accessible for families.
