One of our graduates had his two young children in attendance and another became a new father just 3 weeks before graduation day!

Our newest honorary degree recipient,Ìý, attended the ceremony and the convocation teas.

Our Faculty had the honour of hostingÌýProf Gehl while he was at Dalhouise. Prof GehlÌýparticipated in all our graduation events andÌýcontributed his vast knowledge and experience in
various other ways as well, including a walk alongÌýSpring Garden Road with members of the PlanningÌýand Design Centre and others working on SGRÌýimprovements; a workshop for colleagues inÌýprofessional practice; and a standingÌýroom only public lecture on May 31st in theÌýMedjuck Building. The Faculty partnered with HRM,ÌýWDCL, and the Halifax Business District Commissionto support these events. Thank you especially to SoP’sÌýDr. Eric Rapaport for helping to coordinate ProfÌýGehl’s itinerary, and to TJ Maguire (WDCL and SoPÌýalumnus) for also helping to host Prof Gehl and takingÌýtime to show him around the South Shore.

One other note-worthy point about Prof Gehl’s visit:ÌýPLANiFax developed a promotional video for hisÌýpublic lecture and recorded his visit. If you have notÌýseen the video, you can view it atÌýhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Zr5Q0Xi4
