Surangi Dharmawansa, a second-year M.Sc. student of the Department of Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences was a winner of graduate students鈥 best poster presentation competition.
Surangi presented her thesis research titled 鈥淒ietary supplementation of microencapsulated anthocyanins of haskap berry and probiotics on the severity of DSS-induced acute colitis of Balb/c mice鈥
Surangi鈥檚 research is supported by the Killam Chair Funds of her supervisor, Dr. Vasantha Rupasinghe. The annual conference was jointly sponsored by the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute and Terry Fox Research Institute and held virtually this year on聽November 10, 2020.
