To help celebrate Welcome Week 2018, The Faculty of Agriculture is profiling some of the people you will meet across the campus community in your travels on your new path at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Where are you from?

If you mean on campus – Health Services

If you mean previous work experience- over 30 years healthcare experience -critical care and emergency nursing mostly; Manager intensive Care and ED units; health researcher; Director of Quality & Risk for the Health Authority.

If you mean where was I born – Sydney NS

What do you do at Dal?

Registered Nurse in the Primary Care Health Clinic in the Dairy Building serving the student population on the AC campus. We assess and treat many health conditions  i.e. colds/flu; contraception; injuries; strep throat, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, etc.), we provide immunizations; we provide health education on many topics; we help students liaise with other health providers (the doctor that comes to campus once per week, psychologists, dentists, optometrists, physiotherapists, etc.). See our webpages on the Dal AC website for all we can do for students.

What is your favorite part about working at the AC?

Meeting and helping students with their healthcare needs. To attend class, study and be successful academically you need to feel well to do so.

What is one piece of advice you would give students?

Come early and visit us in Health Services so you know what we can do for you while you are attending Dal. Come ask us if we can help.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Travel, read, shop, walk, skate, knit, enjoy time with my family & friends (furry and human).
