The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) is pleased to announce the 2024 Pilot Award request for applications.
The goal of the Pilot Award is to provide early support for exploratory ideas considered higher risk but with the potential for transformative results, particularly those with novel hypotheses for autism. This call encourages applications that propose research to link genetic or other ASD risk factors to molecular, cellular, circuit, or behavioral mechanisms and set the stage for the development of novel interventions, including work in human subjects.
The budget is $300,000 or less, over a period of up to two years. Projects proposing research in human subjects may request a budget up to $500,000.
Internal Deadline: May 30, 2024. Contact is ird@dal.ca.
Funder Deadline: June 13, 2024. Contact is sfarigrants@simonsfoundation.org
