Recently, VeteransÌýAffairs Canada, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), the Canadian Forces Health Services and the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) partnered to create the Joint Federal Research Funding Program for Military Personnel and Veterans. This research funding program aims to enhance the well-being of Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and their families by supporting Canadian research focused on supporting these populations.
The following opportunities are available:
1. A comprehensive literature review of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD) in Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) women
The due date for applications is 12 February 2024 at 11:59 PM (PST).
Researchers are invited to apply for a new grant funding opportunity sponsored by DRDC to conduct a literature review of PFD in female military populations to get a better understanding of the problem and possible solutions that could be implemented in the future.
2. 2024 Your Say Matters: Defence Team Well-Being Survey Results for Regular Force members, Primary Reserve members, and Department of National Defence Public Service personnel
The due date for applications is 16 February 2024 at 11:59 PM (PST).
Researchers are invited to apply for a new grant funding opportunity sponsored by DRDC to conduct the quantitative data analysis using the 2024 Your Say Matters (YSM): Defence Team Well-Being Survey and examine attitudes, perceptions and experiences of Regular Force members, Primary Reserve members, and Department of National Defence Public Service personnel in the domains related to well-being, organizational culture, and retention.
3. Exploring the Risks, Burdens, and Biopsychosocial Impacts of Pelvic Health Issues for Women Veterans.
The due date for applications is February 23, 2024 at 11:59 PM (PST).
Veterans Affairs Canada invites applications for participatory research that explores the biopsychosocial impacts of pelvic health issues for women Veterans across the life span. The goal of this research funding opportunity is to support exploration of the risk factors, biopsychosocial impacts and associated burden of pelvic health issues for women Veterans.Ìý
