The Russell Sage Foundation dedicates itself to strengthening the methods, data, and theoretical core of the social sciences in order to better understand societal problems and develop informed responses.
Note that grants from the Russell Sage Foundation are open to Canadian researchers, but the focus of research must be on the United States.
For its next research grant deadline, RSF will accept letters of inquiry (LOIs) under any of its core programs and special initiatives: ; ; ; ; and . It will also accept LOIs relevant to any core program that addresses the effects of social movements, such as drives for unionization and mass social protests, and the effects of racial/ethnic/gender bias and discrimination on a range of outcomes related to social and living conditions in the United States.
