The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) has launched the competition. CFI will invest up to $115M in research infrastructure funding through the BRIF competition to support biocontainment and large-animal facilities and to enhance Canada’s research capacity for pandemic readiness.
Eligible projects involve acquiring or developing research infrastructure to increase research capacity in existing CL3 and CL4 facilities and only those CL2 or CL2+ facilities that are essential to the operations of the CL3 or CL4 facilities.
This is a two-stage competition:
