This program, open to all fields of expertise, provides funding for new scientific projects jointly developed by French and Canadian teams that have never worked together before. This program is meant to initiate new partnerships in research between France and Canada.
While funding is open to all fields, and interdisciplinary projects are encouraged, this year’s theme is "Impact of global change on Oceans and Coastal Regions". The FCRF is thus interested in projects that will address the issue of the oceans from multiple angles, such as, but not limited to, oceanographic sciences, economics, law, human and social sciences, biology, etc.
Funding of $8,000 - $15,000 will be awarded for two years, with the majority of funds awarded for mobility. Approximately twenty projects will be funded, with up to five reserved for projects addressing this year’s theme.
